Please click the attachments to download a PDF containing the Aruco tracking cubes. 60mm is the recommended size, but they can be down or up-scaled during plotting to create cubes of difference sizes.
Fologram currently supports 6 tracking cubes of arbitrary sizes. The size can be overridden by specifying the printed size in Grasshopper. A simple application that simply detects a 60mm cube, draws a box on the marker and sends it back would be as follows:
Providing the size and IDs of the cubes is optional, and only required when using different or mixed cube sizes.
The spacing around the markers in their cube configuration is important. If you choose not to use the provided templates, ensure that a white space of 16.5% of the marker size is available on all sides. For example, on a 45mm marker a border of 7.5mm on all sides is required, producing a 60mm cube.
Printing with high contrast is desirable - when blacks or whites are dirty, marker detection rates may suffer.
It's important that the faces of the cubes are are flat, so printing on heavyweight paper or mounting to flat (ie. 3d printed) objects is desirable.
The ARUCO Cube is scaled to fit the controller tracker for use with the clicker or mounting to tools.
If you wish to use more than 6 cubes concurrently, please let us know.
