Animations are created by streaming transforms to your mixed reality device rather than explicit mesh geometry. All of the components in the Transform menu in Grasshopper output a Transform parameter containing the 4x4 Matrix that can be used with the Send Transforms component in Fologram.
Using the Counter to create an animation sequence
The Counter component in fologram increments a value by one each time it is updated and can be used for creating animations. In this example we divide the counter value to be used as an input to a sine wave function that sets an oscillating z value for our geometry.
Controlling Animation with the State Gate
You can create buttons to play and stop animations by using the State Gate component. In this example we create two buttons with names Play and Stop. The Play output of the State Gate component is created and connected to the timer that updates our counter. When a user clicks Play the timer updates. Clicking in Stop disables the timer.
