Now that you’ve set up your Oculus Quest and playspace, let’s launch the Fologram application from the Oculus Library. Wait a minute while the app launches and finds your license. If you hit any snags at this step check out our troubleshooting tips on the Community.
Opening the Main Menu with the Quest Controllers
Once you've started Fologram you will be prompted with a panel asking you to connect to a Rhino session. Let’s skip this for now and open the Fologram main menu instead. To open the main menu, point one of your Quest controllers away from the ‘Connect to a Rhino Session’ panel, and press and hold the back trigger. Now hover over Models and press the back trigger of your Quest controller to open the Models panel, then select the Steampunk Pavilion model to load it. The Steampunk model will appear in your headset.
Opening the Main Menu with the Quest hand tracking
Your Oculus Quest also supports controller free hand tracking. Put your controllers down on a stationary surface to activate hand tracking. To open the Fologram main menu with hand tracking activated, Tap and Hold your index finger and thumb together (see the gestures diagram above) while keeping your hand still. Now tap Models to open the Models panel, then tap the Steampunk Pavilion model to load it. The Steampunk model will appear in your headset.
Capture images and video
To take a screenshot or record a video, press the Oculus Home button on the right controller to briefly return to the Oculus Home arena, and select ‘Take a Screenshot’ or ‘Record a Video’. To access this content, plug your Quest to your PC and locate the files, or stream your device content live on Facebook.
